So we went roaming last Saturday again, as usual, and hubby took me to Salmiya. We really didn’t do anything but go straight to this food-court thingie over there to have our brunch (sorta) since we both woke up very late. And then after that we went to Sultan Centre to see if there are any new stuff that we might be interested in…
We went to Eureka too and we saw that they were selling Wii consoles for 99KD (it costs 120KD in other electronic shops). Of course we didn’t buy one even though hubby told me that we could if I really want it (he actually prefers to buy an xbox 360 or ps3 if ever we’d buy another gaming console) but I said no. Even though I want it so bad, 99KD is still a lot of money and I told him I’d feel guilty.
We went straight to Kuwait City instead of home after Salmiya and went to Alghanim Electronics over there to drool on ‘em game consoles. Of course hubby was more interested in PDAs and he started bugging me about buying me a one (he wanted to buy me one for Christmas). And so we went home with this:

An HTC Touch Cruise. The bugger is actually happier than me…

Except for web and domain hosting services, I haven’t really purchased anything online as yet. Not because I am paranoid about the security issues of buying things using the internet, it is just that I have not found any reason why I should. For some, shopping online is convenient and the variety of products and services is really almost infinite (small business for sale too) but then again, I’m currently living in the country where HUGE SHIPPING FEES will always be an issue if ever I want to buy something from a reputable e-Store. Of course, this never stopped me from surfing around AMAZON, Buy.Com and of course, eBay…the king of online auctions—and boy did I see ‘em weird things being sold over there! Let me give you some examples:
1. Scottish Title and Land
2. Wiccan Lost Spells and Potion recipes
3. Mutilated Barbie
4. Real Tsansa shrunken head without human skull
5. Bullshit repellent
6. a genuine antique hobo whiskey bottle
7. Four leaf clover
8. Some animal’s skeletons
9. A Serial Killer’s Fingernails
10. A weird tree branch

I purchased a Windows-hosted account a few months ago for the purpose of showcasing personal projects on .NET (mostly themes and skins for open source .NET web applications) and I haven’t really done anything with it yet. I’ve decided to create another blog…A tech one this time and host it from there in the meantime.

I had just finished shifting webhosts and it looks like all is okay. I was so sick and tired of my database server going down everyday for hours and hours and hours that I finally said “Enough! I am going to friggin shift NOW!”. And so I did. Besides, my hosting was supposed to expire next month so, there weren’t any months wasted. I just hope my new host would not give me another bunch of nightmares. Gah! It’s obvious that I spend too much time working on the PC.
I’m always in front of the PC at work and I work on my site (and sometimes other’s as well), do some blogging and site-hopping at home. I know, I know…it isn’t healthy to sit on my ass most of the time, k? I do have an exercise equipment in my room (a stationary cycle to be exact), and I try to work out every morning before going to work. But then of course, I don’t think I’ll be reaching my target weight anytime soon. Pfft!
Hubby and mom-in-law went rambling again. I had to stay at home to finish the new layout for the Norwegian girl. I told hubby if I am done working on it tomorrow, I’ll go out with him. It’s already 10:41PM though, and Dada looks really hungry…Hope they come home soon since I don’t think he’ll eat dinner til they come.

“Promise the moon”
The said phrase is an English idiom that means “to promise something impossible”. But when it comes to romance and courtship, it usually promising someone the moon pertains to someone (usually the male) promising to do whatever it takes to make the object of that person’s affection happy.
But according to this site not only you can promise someone the moon, you can actually fulfill that promise”—well, sort of. It seems that this site gives you an option to buy properties on the moon. Interesting isn’t it?
Personally I think it would be a unique and wonderful gift. Just imagine your special someone coming up to you and saying “Remember when I promised you I’d give you the moon? I can’t get you the whole thing, but at least I tried… “ and then handing you a proof of ownership of lunar property. Nyahahah! Awesome!
So, what do you think? I think it’s really cool to buy the moon for your loved one! At least some part of it, that is…

Having suffered from frequent downtimes and constant database connectivity issues, I am playing around with the idea of transferring to another webhost. I’ve been checking out webhosting review sites and I STILL HAVE TO FIND A DECENT WEBHOST THAT WOULD NOT CONSTANTLY CRAP UP ON ME.
I work in a company the offers web-related services and I know that there is no such thing as 100% uptime… but crapping up on me almost everyday is just not acceptable.
Can anybody recommend any decent webhost?

According to the test I took in this page, it said that I have a Dreamy Idealist (DI) personality.
I think the description does fit me perfectly. I am quite shy and reserved, and so cautious when it comes to sharing my emotions that even my husband sometimes has to beg (yes, beg!) me to tell him how I feel. I only have very, very few close friends, and I enjoy looooonnnnggg discussions about life, culture and society with them. I can give practical advice but I am not very practical, that is when it comes to making my own decisions ….
I like answering personality tests, it makes me know about myself more…and sometimes, you will also see yourself in someone else’s perspective.

I was surfing around and found an entry in http://www.pinaymommyonline.com/ about her making cartoons of herself. I decided to make one of my own using Face Your Manga. Don’t I just look so kawaii here?
Hmm… it’s already 2:36AM and am still online…I should really go to sleep now…Nyte!
